Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. I’m supporting kiwi women by raising money for The New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation.
Eight women a day are diagnosed with breast cancer in New Zealand. The money I raise from this page will be used to fund vital research projects and medical grants to help improve the survivorship of breast cancer in New Zealand. It will also help support kiwi women who have been diagnosed with breast cancer through services such as counselling and rehabilitation programmes.
Over the last few years, breast cancer has touched me personally when my grandmother was diagnosed. She went through chemotherapy and, though at that age, I didn't quite understand what that meant, I was proud of how strong she was. She quite liked her wig and the family had some fun with it too, and when her hair grew back she was so excited that it was curly! More recently, nan was diagnosed for a second time and though she went through the chemotherapy again, she sadly lost her battle six months ago. There is nothing nan would have wanted more than to have her family helping other women like her.
Please consider making a donation today, anything will help. I cannot do this alone but with your support we can make a difference.
