Thank you for visiting our fundraising page. Together we are supporting kiwi women by raising money for The New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation. Last year Rachel lost her friend and colleague, Debra Buchanan, to breast cancer. This is why we have taken on the challenge of walking part of the El Camino to fundraise for New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation. It is a personal challenge in two parts. Firstly to raise the money and secondly to become fit enough to do the walk comfortably - lots of training required! We are doing this in honour of Debra - will you help us and donate in honour of your wife, mother, sister, daughter, friend?
Eight women a day are diagnosed with breast cancer in New Zealand. The money we raise from this page will be used to fund vital research projects and medical grants to help improve the survivorship of breast cancer in New Zealand. It will also help support kiwi women who have been diagnosed with breast cancer through services such as counselling and rehabilitation programmes.
Please consider making a donation today, anything will help. The money we raise is going to NZ Breast Cancer Foundation. Our trip to participate in the El Camino trek is paid for by us.
We cannot do this alone but with your support we can make a difference.
