Kia ora and thank you for visiting my fundraising page.
I’ve committed to this El Camino de Santiago trek in Spain in May 2017 to help raise funds for the New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation (NZBCF).
I have thought of doing the Camino for some time. This gives it a purpose.
My journey over recent years has included several experiences of cancer within the family. This has included breast cancer, with my sister Sue having had treatment and my sister in law Tricia dying as a result of breast cancer. But most challenging and special has been sharing with other family members my strong and beautiful daughter Catherine’s journey from her diagnosis with breast cancer to her dying in 2012.
Thank you for considering sponsoring me to provide NZBCF with extra funding.
Eight women a day are diagnosed with breast cancer in New Zealand.
The money I raise from this page will be used to fund vital research projects and medical grants and it will also help support kiwis who have been diagnosed with breast cancer through services such as counselling and rehabilitation programmes.
Anything will help and the money you give will all go to the Breast Cancer Foundation. I pay for all the trip expenses.
With thanks in anticipation of your support and warm regards
