Eight women a day are diagnosed with breast cancer in New Zealand. Last month, my mum was one of them. In a matter of three weeks my mum was diagnosed with breast cancer and then was termed cancer free. This was thanks to early detection, incredible doctors and the advances in breast cancer technology and research. I'm so grateful that my mum has survived this disease, but I know many others are not as lucky.
The money I raise from this page will be used to fund vital research projects and medical grants to help improve the survivorship of breast cancer in New Zealand. It will also help support kiwi women who have been diagnosed with breast cancer through services such as counselling and rehabilitation programmes.
If you don't donate here, please come and donate a dollar or two at the street appeal this Friday. I'll be stationed in Mt Eden from 2-4pm, but there will be volunteers all over the city!
Please consider making a donation today, anything will help. I cannot do this alone but with your support we can make a difference.
